Dreaming of the Finance Bill 2011 and disguised remuneration…

You know you’re a true pensions lawyer when you find yourself dreaming about pensions taxation issues, and this week I’m impatiently waiting for the Finance Bill 2011 to be published, and, in particular, dreaming of disguised remuneration issues.   We should hopefully see the revised legislation later today.

When is a decision not a decision?

When it’s ajar… errr. Anyway, moving on to pensions law – when can trustees’ decisions be set aside?  I’m talking about the so-called rule in Hastings Bass, which we now know isn’t the rule in Hastings Bass at all ….
